Floating Pontoon Godorf

For the world’s largest mineral oil and natural gas company, a concrete pontoon is being constructed as a floating filling station for inland vessels, the “Jetty 3”, since the start of planning in January 2020. The construction site is located in Papenburg/Wesel/Godorf. Two years after the start of construction, the facility is fully operational since April 2022 and is handed over ready for use in June 2022. The work carried out includes:
  • Planning, statics
  • Approval procedure
  • Reinforced concrete work
  • Steel construction
  • Electrical engineering, MSR technology
  • Pipeline technology
  • Fire extinguishing technology
  • Fire protection coating
  • Hydraulic engineering
    • Harbour dredging
    • Deep foundation work and
  • Deconstruction work / demolition of existing buildings.
The construction of the concrete pontoon entails several special features. The facility can be completely built and completed at a different location, independent of the operator’s operations or use of land. Due to the small number of support, guide and mooring dolphins, only minor work is required in the port. A quick commissioning is ensured, as the duration of connection services and overall acceptance is short after the arrival of the completed system.
